Smart Table Views: Set Once, Use Anytime
Save your preferred filters, sorting, and layouts for faster decision-making.
Managing data in large construction projects can be challenging, especially when dealing with recurring reports, tracking constraints, and monitoring project progress. Setting up filters, sorting data, and adjusting table views every time you need a report can slow things down. To make reporting and data handling more efficient, VisiLean is introducing Saved Table Configurations – a powerful new feature designed to save time and standardise workflows.
Why This Matters
Reporting and reviewing project data should not be a repetitive task. With teams working across multiple locations and projects, having consistent table settings ensures better decision-making and reduces manual effort. Standardised reports improve data accuracy, eliminate inconsistencies, and allow users to focus on insights rather than setup. By enabling saved configurations, this feature enhances collaboration and ensures reports are structured correctly every time.
What’s New?
Save and Reuse Configurations: Users can now save their table settings, including sorting, filtering, grouping, and pinned columns.
Public and Private Views: Configurations can be kept private or shared with the team, ensuring the right people see the right data.
Meeting Mode Integration: Access saved views directly within Meeting Mode for better discussions and real-time decision-making.
Standardised Reports: Ensure consistent reporting structures across teams, reducing errors and improving clarity.
How It Helps
With Saved Table Configurations, project managers can quickly apply the right filters and sorting without setting them up manually. Site engineers can track constraints and timelines without adjusting views every time. Team leads can automate recurring reports, ensuring accurate and timely updates. Executives gain access to structured, high-level reports without any additional effort. This feature not only improves productivity but also enhances collaboration by ensuring data is always presented in the most effective way.
Key Considerations & Caution Points
Reporting Automation Limitation: Reporting automation for table view-related reports is not available in this release.
Default Configuration Logic: Each user can create one default system-wide configuration.
Auto-Load Feature: The default configuration automatically loads upon login.
Takt Module Priority: By default, the Takt module is active when logging in. If a user creates a default table view configuration, it will load only when they navigate to the table view for the first time.
Example Use Cases
Project Manager Reviewing Weekly Progress
A Project Manager needs to review site progress every week with the team. Instead of manually filtering for delayed tasks, open constraints, and upcoming deadlines, they save a custom configuration with these filters applied. Each week, they simply load the saved view, ensuring consistency in reporting and reducing setup time.
Site Engineer Tracking Constraints & Task Dependencies
A Site Engineer frequently tracks material delivery constraints and task dependencies. They create a Constraint Table Configuration that includes sorting by priority, filtering unresolved constraints, and pinning key columns. When conducting site checks, they apply this configuration instantly, making updates and reporting more structured and efficient.
Project Coordinator Generating Recurring Reports
A Project Coordinator is responsible for sending a weekly report on task progress and workforce allocation to stakeholders. Instead of manually setting up filters each time, they save a custom table configuration with the required columns and sorting preferences. When generating reports, they apply the saved configuration instantly, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every update.
