Split View: See More, Plan Better! (BETA)
Bring Table View and 2D BIM together to stay in control of your planning and visual contextโall in one screen.
Weโre excited to unveil a major enhancement in VisiLean: the new Split View functionality. This powerful feature enables you to display Table View and 2D BIM side-by-sideโeither vertically or horizontallyโwithin the same screen. By combining planning data with design visuals, Split View offers a clearer, more interactive workspace thatโs built to support the way construction teams operate.
Why This Matters
In construction, time is often lost navigating between disconnected views. Whether you're comparing drawings or cross-checking task lists, switching tabs introduces delays and risks errors. Split View helps eliminate this friction by uniting critical planning and design perspectives. The result? Better coordination, faster decisions, and improved alignment across the team.
What's new?
A new Split View icon in the side navigation panel.
Vertical and horizontal split layout options.
First-time setup modal for easy configuration.
Resize, rearrange, and switch modules with ease.
View Sync Mode and Trade Colour Functionality now supported in Split View.
Fully responsive design for desktop and mobile use.
How It Works
Split View transforms your workspace into a visual planning hub. It allows planners, engineers, and site teams to monitor tasks, resources, and design zones in parallel. With View Sync Mode and Trade Colour support, users can focus on zone-specific tasks while preserving an overview of the broader plan. It's a practical tool that sharpens insight and strengthens coordination.
Example Use Cases
Planner's Workspace: While preparing the weekly work plan, a planner places the 2D BIM model beside the task table in Split View. This setup makes it easier to check spatial constraints, assess dependencies, and align zone-based tasks without switching screens.
Progress Review Meetings: In daily stand-ups or site reviews, teams use Split View to display active tasks next to their corresponding zones. This helps validate progress visually, track completed work, and spot discrepancies between planned and actual outcomes.
Trade Coordination: A foreman overseeing multiple trades activates View Sync Mode with Trade Colours. The layout highlights only the relevant zones and tasks for each trade, making it easier to manage workforce assignments and maintain clarity on-site
Key Considerations & Caution Points
Vertical Split Limitations: The Workforce Table View and BIM modules are currently not supported in vertical split view.
Takt Integration Note: The existing 2D BIM + Takt split functionality remains unchanged. Vertical and horizontal split options are not available for Takt in this release.
Split View Retention: Selected split view layouts are not retained after reloading the page or switching between views.
3D Model Handling: Attempting to open a 3D model in Split View will automatically redirect you to the full BIM module view.
Upcoming Enhancements: Configuration saving, Reports, and Meeting Mode are planned for the upcoming release, so these options are currently unavailable in Split View.
Beta Release: This is an early access release, and weโre actively gathering feedback to enhance the feature in future updates.
