# Checklist Sequences (Beta): Inspections in the Order the Work Happens

Many inspections happen in stages, and each stage only counts once the one before it is complete. A slab needs its pre-pour checks signed off before the pour, and its pour checks done before the post-pour inspection. Checklist Sequences let you chain checklists into an ordered set of steps that must be completed in order, so staged inspections follow the same order as the work itself.

#### Why This Matters

When staged inspections are handled as separate, unconnected checklists, nothing stops a later check from being filled before an earlier one is finished, and it's hard to see where each element has reached. A single failing element can also hold up the rest of the batch. Sequences enforce the order, show progress for every run, and let a failing element be dealt with on its own without stopping the rest.

#### What's New?

* **Ordered steps.** Chain checklists into an ordered set of steps that must be completed in order, such as pre-pour, pour and post-pour checks on a slab.
* **Runs with progress.** Each time you start a sequence it becomes a run, listed with its progress and the detail of every step.
* **Split out a failing element.** If an element fails along the way, split it out of the run so it continues separately while the rest move on.
* **One PDF per run.** Export a whole run as a single PDF.
* **Choose who's next.** When you complete or approve a sequence step, nominate exactly who receives the next step.

#### How It Helps: Three Example Use Case Scenarios

A Quality Manager builds a slab sequence from three checklists: pre-pour, pour and post-pour. Each time a slab is ready, the site team starts a run, and the pour checks can't be filled until the pre-pour step is complete.

A Site Engineer working through a run finds that one element fails its pre-pour check. They split it out of the run, so it continues separately through rework while the other elements move on to the pour.

A Project Manager preparing the quality records for a completed slab exports the whole run as a single PDF, giving one document that covers every stage of the inspection.

#### Key Considerations & Caution Points

**Order is enforced:** the steps in a sequence must be completed in order.

**Split, don't stall:** a failing element can be split out of a run to continue separately, so it doesn't hold up the rest.
