๐Turn Your 3D Model into a Planning Control
Understand scope, ownership, and status clearly in a single 3D workspace.
This update strengthens how teams understand and manage progress directly on the 3D BIM model. By bringing ViewSync, Trade Mode and Live Mode together in a split view, planning data and model elements stay tightly connected throughout day-to-day work. The focus shifts from interpreting schedules and lists to reading the model itself as the primary source of truth. This positions the 3D BIM view as a practical, everyday working surface rather than a reference used only during formal reviews.
Why This Matters
Construction teams often lose valuable time translating schedules into drawings and repeatedly explaining scope during coordination and site reviews. When plans, models and progress updates are reviewed in isolation, important details are easy to miss. This update reduces that gap by showing only the most relevant model elements, supported by clear visual cues for responsibility, timing and status. The result is more focused discussions, fewer misunderstandings, and decisions made with greater confidence.
Whatโs New?
ViewSync connects filtered tasks directly to the 3D model, highlighting only the elements linked to the selected scope while moving everything else into a clean wireframe view. Trade Mode overlays trade colours on model elements, making ownership immediately clear and drawing attention to elements shared across multiple trades. Live Mode layers real-time status colours on top of the model, allowing teams to see planned, active and completed work without leaving the 3D context. Together, these modes provide a clearer and more controlled way to read and review progress.
Key highlights:
Task filters directly control what is visible in the 3D model
Trade ownership and overlaps are easy to identify at a glance
Live progress status is shown on the model elements themselves
Reduced visual clutter helps teams focus on the right scope
How It Helps โ Example use case scenarios
A planning engineer filters the tasks scheduled for the coming week and uses ViewSync to review only the related structural and MEP elements in the model. During a coordination meeting, Trade Mode clearly shows which trades are responsible for each element, helping the team resolve overlaps and dependencies before work begins on site. During daily site reviews, Live Mode is used to check current progress on the model, allowing supervisors to spot delays early and adjust priorities with clarity and speed.
Key Considerations & Caution Points
View Sync and Trade modes cannot be applied at the same time in the current release; combined usage is planned for a future update.
When switching between modes, ensure the active mode aligns with the objective of the review to avoid confusion during meetings.
